Debbie Zalamea is a Filipino Canadian actress based in Toronto who is known for her grounded yet versatile talent.

Debbie received her Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from the University of Toronto. She majored in Book and Media Studies and double minored in Cinema Studies and English, focusing her coursework on media franchises and genre studies. Transitioning from academics to production, Debbie received her Graduate Certificate in Film and Multiplatform Storytelling from Humber College.

After completing her education, Debbie decided to return to her childhood dream of becoming an actress, shifting focus to her training in acting. Whether as an actress or a viewer, Debbie enjoys dramedies for their play on various types of relationships and universal life experiences, while balancing light and fun moments with dark and serious moments. She also enjoys fantasy, horror, and sci-fi for their twist on reality and exploration of supernatural possibilities.
